The latest, this year first issue of Contemporary Materials Vol. 15 No. 1 (2024) was released on June 26, 2024.
By decision of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska no. 07.030-053-160-15/10. as of July 26, 2010, the Journal Contemporary Materials was entered in the Register of Public Media under serial number 599. The founder of the Journal is the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska. The chief editor is academician Rajko Kuzmanović, and the responsible editor is academician Dragoljub Mirjanić.
The Journal is published every six months, in English, and covers four scientific areas: natural, technical, biotechnical and medical sciences. The program conception of the scientific journal Contemporary Materials is based on the multidisciplinary scientific presentation of contemporary materials, their application in science, technology and industry, especially in areas such as: research of new materials; nanostructured materials; modern technologies of production of modern materials; materials with modified properties; eco and non-eco materials; biomaterials and technologies; application of modern materials in technology, in mechanical, textile and electrical industry, agriculture, construction, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy...; materials for nutrition and food storage; packing materials (packaging); recycled materials and the problem of waste; standardization and characterization of materials; systematization of quality and control of usability of materials; improvement of life through the use of modern materials; other issues related to modern materials.
In addition to original scientific papers, the Journal also publishes review papers, short scientific papers, scientific criticism (polemics, debates), expert papers, informative articles (editorials, comments), and reviews. The largest number of authors of articles are scientists who presented their results at scientific meetings organized by the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska,
In the Journal, we also publish the works of scientists who offer us their articles, and all published works are accompanied by at least two positive and anonymous reviews, both for the authors of the works and for the reviewers.
Considering that, in addition to domestic scientists, the authors of the papers were from China, South Africa, Slovakia, North Macedonia, Georgia, France, Japan, India, America, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia, of Serbia and Republic of Srpska, we can rightfully say that our journal has surpassed the boundaries of a scientific journal of national importance, and that the publishing policy of the Editorial Board, which is based on following international standards in publishing, will lead our journal to indexing in internationally recognized reference databases.
