ROUND TABLE ‚‚THE ROLE OF ACADEMIES IN BUILDING EUROPEAN RESEARCH AREA‚‚, LECTURE ‚‚NETWORKING:AN INSTRUMENT FOR PROMOTING INNOVATION IN SOUTH-EAST EUROPE‚‚

On the same day, Secretary for the External Affairs of the European Academy of Sciences gave a lecture on the topic ’’Networking – an Instrument for promoting Innovation in South-East Europe’’.
Participants of these two events were members of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska, deans, vice-deans and professors of the University of Banja Luka, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska and Ministry of Science and Technology of the Republic of Srpska.
Conclusion was made that it was necessary to work on strenthening the role of the Academy, as well as to find the models for the Academy to independentely contribute to advicing policy makers, scientific communities, industry and civil society in order to achieve a common goal – being competetive.
As part of his lecture, dr Fayl presented a several ways of networking, highlighting the importance of networking.
He also emphasized that one of the most important roles of the national academies should be coordination and providing advise.
