PRESIDENT KUZMANOVIC HAS BEEN AWARDED A CERTIFICATE ON MEMBERSHIP IN EUROPEAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES AND ARTS

The President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska, Academician Rajko Kuzmanovic was awarded a certificate on election in the European Academy of Sciences and Arts during the formal plenary session held on March 07, 2009 in Salzburg. President Kuzmanovic was elected a regular member of the European Academy of Sciences in the fifth class – Department of Legal, Social and Economic Sciences in December 2008.

Certificates on election were awarded to new members of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts by Prof. Felix Unger, the president of the European Academy, in presence of the protector of the Academy, president of Slovenia Danilo Tirk, president of the Government of German Federal State North-Rhine Westphalia Jürgen Rüttgers and professor at Salzburg University, Dr. Maximilian Fussl.

President Kuzmanovic said on this occasion that this was not only a great acknowledgement for him, but also for the Academy of Sciences and Arts of the Republic of Srpska, as well as for the Republic of Srpska in general.

President Kuzmanovic also said: “The European Academy of Sciences and Arts, as a European Parliament of science and education, represents a strong foundation for the development of society of knowledge, necessary for all the peoples.”

The formal session was attended by prominent persons from throughout Europe and the rest of the world. Renowned scholars from all over the world, from China to Russia, Spain to England were among the newly elected members of the Academy.
